Rescue Devie Devie - 1 yr 9 mos old female with a tail, she is a shy girl that will need training and time to bond to her new owner. During her short stay with Nelda, this is what she had to say about Devie. "When she first arrived she was sure no rules about waiting for food applied to her! Then she caught on. She was uncertain about my pack but settled in after a little grumbling. She has been very good. Her only difficulty was the fireworks from SeaWorld that happen every night. She only barked a couple of times. On leash she really leaned into me. I only took her out twice due to personal physical things. Once on foot and the second time with me as I rode the tricycle. She seems very sweet and submissive and willing to please."

Rescue Saphira Success! Saphira has been adopted! - Our newest rescue is Saphira. She does seem to know the basic command to come. She is getting along with Arwen and Navar just great. She runs like the wind and is really enjoying the back yard. She kennels and crates easily. Her main problem is jumping up and is getting better with me but jumps on anyone new. She doesn't seem to understand down or off. She is sleeping inside in a crate at night. When inside at other times, she seems to think it is just fine to be on the furniture, so I assume she was an inside dog before. She appears well house trained but needs a chew toy. I would guess she is only 1.5 years or so. It looks like she had a litter at some time. She is barking less now and ignores being told quiet but when given a shhhh... she is quieter. She seems to learn quickly but is young and full of energy. I think she will do best with someone who wants an active dog. She wouldn't be good with kids until this jumping behavior is controlled. Saphira is a sweet and loving dog once she stops running. She allows hugs and sometimes flops over on her back when given attention. There haven't been any conflicts over toys etc. Arwen body checked her on one of her "fly bys" in the yard. She didn't react aggressively just playful. She's a very nice "little girl". She was spayed October 8th.

Rescue Coors Success! Coors has been adopted! - 4 year old beautiful male, very athletic. Great with people but needs to be introduced to other dogs slowly. He has been in our rescue program for two years and really needs to find the right home. Saw him again today and he really is a nice looking boy. He is at that age, where he has calmed down and will be great with someone that works with him. He already has some basic training.

Rescue Mia Success! Mia has been adopted! - 3 yr old female. A small compact sized female Rotti, great size for minimal joint issues! Very athletic looking and healthy. She will need to be in a home as the only dog and with an experienced dog owner that will make sure she understands who the boss is.
