Thank you for your interest in adopting a Rottweiler from Southwestern Rottweiler Club of San Diego. By adopting a Rottweiler, not only do you get a great companion but also help prevent unnecessary euthanasia of many wonderful dogs. Sadly, most dogs that end up in animal shelters were once family pets. It’s our goal to give them a second chance and find permanent, loving homes for these special dogs.

The Adoption Process:

If you are willing to make a Rottie lifetime commitment and welcome one into your family, we may have a dog for you! Rottweilers are not for everyone so some questions and processes may seem personally intrusive but these dogs have been given a second chance at life and we want to make sure the adoption is successful for both humans and dogs.

For consideration to become an adopter, complete our online adoption application below. The more information you give us the better chance we have to match the right dog with the right home. We must have a completed application before meeting any dog in our rescue. A home check by one of our rescue coordinators is required prior to adopting dogs from us.

The adoption fee is $300 for adult dogs and $375 for puppies (dogs under 1 year). However, we will refund $75 after verification of a completed and approved obedience course. All dogs are micro chipped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and in good health prior to being adopted.
